Liz Claws Fights in Michigan
( “Le Chat Boxe”) Now that the Canadian-US borders were fully open, many postponed events from 2020 were taking place. One such was a combined amateur-pro fight night at the Emerald Theatre in Mt. Clemens, MI. A thunderstorm was moving into town from the Grand Rapids area. 6 Golden Gloves bouts made up the start, 4 were male boxers, 2 female, and all were tough, crowd-pleasing fights. The ten minute intermission gave the smokers their chance. The pro event was a welcome fight. The best fighter on DeviantArt, Liz ‘This-Cat-Has-Claws’, was making her in-person debut in the US. Almost one hundred of her friends, fellow workers, and family drive across the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor and headed north. More fans from the States helped sell out the Emerald.
